CONTEST DETAILS 

• • Categories: Novice/Intermediate & Advanced
  • Prizes: $500 awarded to the winner of each category.
  • Eligibility: Open to artists 18 years and older.
  • Entry Fee: $10 per contestant. SIGN UP HERE
  Rules & Requirements
  • Check-In: Artists must check in at the event table located at Hart Commons prior to starting.
  • Reference Photo: Each artist will be given a copy of one of the two selected scenic Hart photos to recreate.
  • Timeframe: Work must be created on-site between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Artists will be given a map with locations you can work. No late submissions will be accepted.
  • Materials: Artists must provide their own canvas/paper, easels, and all supplies.
  • Mediums: Only 2D mediums (painting, drawing, charcoal, pastel, etc.) are allowed.
  • Size Requirement: Artwork must be created on paper or canvas at least 8" x 10". Larger is acceptable.
  • Completion: Finished pieces must be turned in promptly at 2:00 PM at check in table for inclusion in the contest.
  Voting & Judging
  • Public Voting: All completed pieces will be displayed throughout downtown Hart during October. The public will vote for their favorites in each category as part of ArtWalk.
  • Announcement of Winners: Votes will be tallied at the end of the month, and winners will be announced publicly on the City of Hart Facebook page Monday November 3rd.
  Spectator Experience
  • This is a live timed event — spectators can watch artists at work during the day of the ArtWalk.
  • Downtown visitors will have a chance to engage with artists, observe their techniques, and enjoy the atmosphere of creativity and community.
